Reject/Refuse: This is one of the more central aspects to Zero Waste and one of the most straightforward ways to reduce the waste you produce. It is also one of the hardest habits for people to change. Face it, refusing stuff that is given to us is difficult, some people feel uncomfortable or are afraid they will appear rude.  Zero Waste starts by chasing and changing those habits, one by one. Here are some ideas to help change the pattern of accepting consumption to rejecting consumption:
– Refuse that plastic bag, bring a reusable bag instead.
– Refuse that bottle of water, use a glass or metal container.
– Refuse freebies (party favors, meal toys etc.)
– Refuse excessive packaging
– Refuse food/drinks served in disposables
– Refuse Junk Mail
– Refuse extra school papers
